Obtaining funds for, and assisting with the design of, the Lotterywest Federation Walkway. This walkway was the lead project to commemorate the Centenary of Federation in Western Australia and promotes the benefits of Federation to visitors for many years to come. Funding has been provided by the Lotteries Commission, the Centenary of Federation of Western Australia, the Friends of Kings Park, and the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority.

The Volunteers Garden celebrates the contribution made by volunteers in the community. It presents a wonderful opportunity to showcase the State's threatened flora in this high profile site. The garden displays a range of species, which have become threatened in the wild due to land clearing and land degradation. This creative display helps to raise public awareness of Western Australia's threatened flora, and to inspire people to assist in the conservation of our unique and diverse flora. The Friends of Kings Park coordinate ongoing fundraising and have directly contributed funds, to assist with this project.  volunteers_garden.jpg

Growing indigenous flora which is most suited to home gardens and introducing these plants through plant sales, held three or four times a year. These plants are not generally available at local nurseries and are propagated and grown by the Friends in the Kings Park Nursery.
