Wheatbelt Orchid Rescue Project
For the past four years, the Friends of Kings Park Orchid Carers Group have played a key role in propagating rare orchids for the Wheatbelt Orchid Rescue project.
Naturescapers Reach 100
One hundred Naturescaper volunteers have now been recruited for Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park.
‘We are thrilled to reach this milestone,’ enthused BGPA’s Volunteer Coordinator Kirsten Marwick. ‘Not only have we recruited a large number of volunteers, but the quality of the people involved is remarkable. Naturescapers have brought so many skills and so much passion to this project.
Refurbished Glasshouse Facilities
The refurbished Nursery Facility within the Depot Complex was officially opened on Saturday 7 May 2011 by Mr Richard Simpson, Chairman of the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority Board of Management.
Weekend Bushland Group 2013 Program
The Weekend Bushland Group meets on a fortnightly basis on Sundays at 8.30 am and then moves to the selected site. The meeting area is outside the main administration building off Fraser Avenue.
