Volunteers with a passion for gardening are needed to assist with caring for some of the most famous garden beds in Western Australia. You can volunteer in the Western Australian Botanic Garden, Kings Park's beautiful parklands or around icons like the floral clock, the Flame of Remembrance and along the Mount Eliza escarpment.

Bushland Groups
Keen and aspiring conservationists are needed to care for some of the most important bushland in the Perth metropolitan area. Volunteers are needed for two Bushland Carer groups in Kings Park. You will work with experts and learn about the fascinating world of Australian bush restoration and conservation.
Event Volunteers
Event volunteers assist with various Friends events within the Park during the year. For example: Native Plant Sales, Skyworks etc. Volunteer forms are sent out to members when help is needed in the The Friends of Kings Park monthly newsletter.
Orchid Group
The Orchid Carers provide volunteer assistance to the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authroity (BGPA) staff in the research and conservation of Western Australian terrestrial orchids and the maintenance of the BGPA living ex situ orchid collection. Orchids are also propagated for fund raising at Friends Native Plant Sales.
Growing Friends
Keen and aspiring gardeners assist with propagating and growing Western Australian native plants for Friends of Kings Park native plant sales.
The Growing Friends meet in the Nursery behind the Biodiversity Conservation Centre building every Saturday morning or during the week on a rostered basis, usually on a Wednesday.
Office Group
The Office Volunteers provide essential administrative support to the Friends office.
